Safety and regulation

Are peptides safe?

We sell research peptides. Here you can read what the Norwegian authorities warn against, what is documented, and why the products are sold only for laboratory use.

The short answer

No – not in the sense of “safe to use on yourself”. Research peptides are not approved medicines in Norway. They have not gone through the clinical documentation, quality control or adverse-event monitoring required before a medicine can be sold for human use.

That does not mean the substances are useless. Several of them are well described in the scientific literature and are part of ongoing research. But the distance between “studied in the laboratory” and “documented as safe for humans” is large.

What the Norwegian authorities say

The Norwegian Medical Products Agency (DMP) has issued an explicit warning against peptides for injection. It points out that the products are sold outside the regulated medicines supply chain, that content and purity are not guaranteed, and that users have no support system around them if something goes wrong.

From 15 September 2026, BPC-157, CJC-1295, ipamorelin, TB-500, tesamorelin, sermorelin and ibutamoren are on the Norwegian criminal-law doping list, according to the DMP. This is a different set of rules from WADA's doping list for sport. Labelling a product as a research product does not lift the requirements that apply to each substance.

Contents and documentation

What is in the vial is a risk in itself. Without batch documentation, purity, identity and residual substances are not documented for the buyer. Independent analyses can provide information on this, but they do not make the product safe for human use.

The certificate of analysis (COA) states the batch number, purity, test date and analytical method for the batch. Contact us to receive a copy. The documentation describes what has been analysed. It does not turn a research peptide into a medicine and does not document that it is safe for humans.

Why we sell for research purposes only

ArcticAmino sells exclusively for laboratory and research use. We do not provide dosing guidance, instructions for human use or health claims, and we will not do so.

This is not a formality we hide in the small print. It is the actual framework the products exist within, and the only framework in which they make sense.
